Boa constrictors, known for their dangerous nature, are reportedly roaming freely in a residential area of Dessau-Roßlau, Saxony-Anhalt. The snake, which has never been seen by the residents before, is causing fear and panic among the community.
The only evidence authorities have is a two-meter-long snake skin that was found in a stairwell of a new building. It’s believed that it could be a king snake, but without further information, it’s difficult to confirm its identity.
The fire department conducted a thorough search of the building and cellars using thermal imaging cameras but couldn’t find any sign of the boa constrictor. There are speculations that someone may have played a prank by releasing an exotic snake into the wild. Obtaining an authentic snake skin can be challenging and requires expertise.
Boa constrictors are native to South America and can grow up to three meters long. They kill their prey by entangling and strangling them with their powerful muscles. Keeping such an exotic animal requires approval from an official veterinarian in Saxony-Anhalt. The residents of Viethstrasse where the snake skin was found are being questioned but no illegal keeping of snakes has been reported yet.
The search for the boa constrictor continues, and residents are advised to remain cautious until it is found. If anyone encounters the snake, they should contact authorities immediately as these snakes pose a severe threat to humans and animals alike.
