Ukraine claims to have foiled plot to assassinate Zelensky

Ukrainian security officials have announced the arrest of two colonels suspected of being involved in an assassination plot, coordinated with Russian agents, targeting Ukrainian Prime Minister and chief of staff among others. The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) stated that wiretapping and interrogations of suspects led to the thwarting of the plot. President Zelensky’s office confirmed that his security has been increased in response to the threat, following previous reports of assassination attempts against him. The Kremlin has yet to respond to Ukraine’s claims.
