GPAC celebrates eight Jimmies baseball players – Jamestown Sun

The University of Jamestown baseball team had an impressive season this year, with eight players receiving GPAC All-Conference awards. Alex Alva, Avery Liestman, and Ethan Petty were named to the first team, while Chase Burke, Cade Torgerson, and Jordan Singleton made the second team. Torgerson also received an honorable mention for his gold glove performance.

Alva had a standout season at the plate, hitting .330 with five home runs, 37 RBIs, and 12 stolen bases. Liestman, in his first season as a Jimmie, was equally impressive, going 7-1 with a 2.38 ERA and 46 strikeouts. Petty pitched in 23 games, going 1-1 with a 0.42 ERA and 36 strikeouts.

Torgerson had an outstanding record of 7-3 in 16 appearances
