Sangbok Kim, Teaching Professor of Korean, has been awarded the 2024 ASSETT Excellence in Teaching with Technology Award. This prestigious award recognizes a faculty member in the College of Arts and Sciences who has demonstrated excellence in incorporating technology into their teaching practices. Nominations for the award can come from peers or students, and awardees must show a strong commitment and leadership in advancing teaching and learning within the college.
Professor Kim’s innovative use of various technological tools such as shared OneDrive documents, AI, PIP Lang (which he helped develop), and other resources that enhance the learning experience both inside and outside of the classroom were praised by one of his students who nominated him for the award. The student expressed confidence that Professor Kim’s methods will continue to evolve and benefit many more students in the future.
