Jennifer Welham Quoted on ICF’s $236M USAID Health Survey Support Recompete Contract Acquisition

ICF, a leading global consulting firm, has been awarded a potential five-year, $236 million follow-on contract from the U.S. Agency for International Development’s Bureau for Global Health to continue supporting the Demographic and Health Surveys Program. This recompete contract will allow ICF to assist participating countries in improving their capacity to collect, analyze, and disseminate data, as well as implement strategies to address marginalized and vulnerable populations.

Jennifer Welham, senior vice president for health, people, and human services at ICF, highlighted the importance of the DHS Program in advancing global health knowledge, particularly in low- and middle-income countries. She expressed pride in ICF’s ongoing partnership with USAID, providing expertise in health, survey research, and data management to help develop effective health policies and interventions.

Under this new contract, ICF will leverage technology to enhance survey efficiency and automation. The company will use artificial intelligence tools while complying with data security measures and country ownership requirements. This will enable participating countries to collect more accurate and timely data on critical health indicators such as population growth rates, disease prevalence rates, and maternal mortality rates.
