Second Regional CEO Pitch Showcases Young Entrepreneurs’ Business Ideas

The Regional CEO Pitch event, now in its second year, highlighted the achievements of young entrepreneurs from the multi-county CEO program in Mt. Sterling, Illinois. High school students from McDonough, Hancock, Pike, Brown, and Schuyler counties showcased their business ideas to a panel of three judges.

The program aims to instill responsibility and dedication in young adults by emphasizing the importance of maturity. Many participants took the opportunity to stress that the program is not for those looking for a casual good time. Instead, they encouraged others to take the program seriously and make the most of it.

Justice Keene was awarded first place for his local broadcast network “Bomber Sports Network,” while Karly Gallaher’s senior home health care service “Karly’s Kare” came in second place. Wesley McEwen’s 3D printing service “Dream 3D” earned him third place honors. These young entrepreneurs will have an opportunity to showcase their businesses at a trade show on April 12 at Crossing Camp in Rushville, Illinois, open to the public.
