Jefferson & Madison Counties to Host Wellness Expo in Collaboration with Health Departments

The Jefferson & Madison County Departments of Health Chronic Disease Committee has organized a wellness expo in the Monticello area to promote overall health and wellness in the community. Over 30 vendors will be present at the event, offering a variety of wellness resources and information. The expo is free to attend and open to the public, providing access to free health screenings, disaster-preparedness information, giveaways, and more.

Administrator Kimberly Allbritton emphasizes the importance of events like these in raising awareness about colo-rectal health and encouraging proactive health practices. The event will take place at the First Baptist Church of Monticello from 4 to 7 p.m. Second Harvest of the Big Bend will also be on-site at the expo, offering a free produce giveaway and cooking demonstrations.

The aim of this expo is to provide valuable resources and information to help individuals improve their health and well-being. With over 30 vendors present, attendees can expect to find a wide range of wellness resources including nutrition advice, fitness classes, stress management techniques, and more. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals in the community to learn about their health options and make positive changes towards a healthier lifestyle.
