Ex-NFL Quarterback Vince Young implicated in altercation at Houston bar

In Houston, an altercation involving former NFL quarterback and UT alumnus Vince Young took place at a bar in early February. A video that went viral showed Young involved in a chaotic fight at Tokyo Joe’s in Houston.

Young was seen with a group of people who appeared to be arguing. The situation quickly escalated as more people got in his face, and one person even threw a drink. The group eventually moved to the other side of the bar, with the scuffle attracting more participants and spectators.

During the fight, Young was punched by one of the men involved, causing him to fall briefly before getting back up. The reason behind the scuffle is unclear. ABC 13 reported that bar staff members were involved in the fight and called 911. The Houston Police Department stated that the incident occurred on Feb. 4 around 10 p.m., with the bar manager opting not to press charges.

Vince Young is known for his football career at UT from 2002 to 2004, where he was one of the school’s most renowned former athletes. He then played in the NFL for six seasons and was the runner-up for the 2005 Heisman Trophy.
