Regional Organization Promotes Family Discussions on Organ Donation

Vermont Green FC faced off against Carolina Core in the US Open Cup match and initially took a commanding 1-0 lead. However, despite their strong first half performance, they were unable to maintain their advantage and ultimately lost 2-1.

In the first half, Vermont Green scored the only goal when Yaniv Bazini successfully converted a penalty in the 28th minute. Goalkeeper Nathan Schnur made five important saves to keep his team ahead, but Carolina Core fought back in the second half.

Carolina Core’s Papa Ndoye equalized with a penalty in the 60th minute, followed by Joshua Rodriguez’s goal in the 70th minute. Despite several opportunities to regain the lead, Vermont Green was unable to do so and lost the match.

After the game, head coach Adam Pfeifer praised his team’s effort against a strong opponent and thanked fans for their support. Despite their loss, he acknowledged that they faced significant challenges and encouraged them to focus on their upcoming USL2 campaign, which begins on May 18th against Boston City.
