The U.S. U-17 team is set to face Germany in the round of 16 of the U-17 World Cup, with a chance to reach the quarterfinals for only the second time in 18 years (appeared in seven out of eight tournaments held in that time). Gonzalo Segares’ team features a talented group of players, including Liverpool youngster Keylor Figueroa, Charlotte forward Nimfasha Berchimas and San Jose Earthquakes midfielder Cruz Medina. The U.S. has a history of performing well in the tournament, with one semifinals appearance and two quarterfinal appearances. However, they have yet to make it to the final match. Germany, on the other hand, has won four titles at this level and is considered one of the strongest teams in this tournament. Fans can tune into NBC Universo to watch the match live at 3:30 am ET on Tuesday (Nov. 21).
