Union-Endicott High School’s technology department awarded Program of Excellence

Union-Endicott High School’s Technology Department has been recognized with the New York State Technology Education & Engineering Association Program of Excellence Award. The department, which offers a range of programs including welding, automotive, flight simulation, and carpentry, was nominated by the Southern Tier Technology & Engineering Educators Association.

The award was accepted by technology teachers Corey Munn, Mike Wichowski, and Tom Palazzo at the NYSTEA annual conference. Over the past few years, enrollment in the technology department has doubled, and Corey Munn expressed his gratitude for this recognition. “It’s an honor to be recognized by our peers for the hard work we have put into this program,” he said.

This achievement is significant as it places Union-Endicott High School in contention for the International Technology Educators & Engineering Association’s Program of Excellence Award. This recognition is a testament to the dedication and hard work of the school’s technology department and their commitment to providing students with high-quality education in technology and engineering fields.
