If re-elected, Trump plans to conduct mass deportations

During a rally in South Carolina, former US President Donald Trump announced plans for massive deportations if he is re-elected. He stated that he will support the entire open borders policy of the Biden administration and begin the largest national deportation operation in history. Trump emphasized that there is no other choice and called the rejection of the legislative package a great victory for conservatives.

The legislative package, worth $118 billion, failed in the US Senate due to resistance from Republicans. The package included changes to immigration policy and a compromise negotiated between Democrats and Republicans also linked foreign aid to US border security. However, Trump rejected the package and put pressure on his fellow Republicans to let it fail.

The upper house is now considering a package that completely decouples foreign aid from border policy, which was rejected by Trump as he intends to use border policy as a campaign issue in the upcoming presidential election.
