Researchers uncover proof of time reversing in groundbreaking study

In a groundbreaking discovery, scientists have found evidence of time travel at a microscopic level, challenging long-held beliefs that time only moves in one direction. The study “Time reversibility during the ageing of materials,” co-authored by Till Bohmer and Thomas Blochowicz and published in Nature Physics, focused on the time-shuffling behavior within the structures of certain materials, such as glass.

The researchers observed the glass samples using scattered laser light and discovered that the glass is in a constant state of time reversal at a molecular level as it pushes and reforms into new molecular arrangements. This was recorded using an ultra-sensitive video camera.

The composition of these materials is constantly changing, making it impossible to determine whether the changes are occurring forwards or backwards in time. While this revelation may not bring humans any closer to actually traveling through time, it could lead to a shift in how we perceive the materials we interact with daily.

Meanwhile, another new study released in 2023 proposes that time in the universe only flows in one direction, ruling out the possibility of time travel. This study explores how light interacts with other objects, ultimately determining that time can only progress in one direction.
