The 2023 Academic All-District Women’s Soccer Teams have honored three Pitt women’s soccer players, Anna Bout, Chloe Minas, and Sarah Schupansky. This award recognizes the top student-athletes in the nation for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.
Pitt’s most successful season in program history has been fueled by these three standout players, who have set team records for wins, ACC wins, goals, assists, points, and home wins in a single season. The Panthers have earned spots in both the ACC Championship and NCAA Tournament fields for the second time in program history, advancing to the ACC Championship semifinals and the NCAA Tournament elite eight.
The College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-America® program separately recognizes soccer honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA. Academic All-District® honorees will advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot with first-, second-, and third-team Academic All-America® honorees to be announced in early December.
Pitt is currently ranked No. 11 and will face off against No.1-ranked Florida State in the 2023 NCAA Championship Elite Eight at the Seminole Soccer Complex in Tallahassee, Fla. The matchup is scheduled for Friday, Nov. 24 at 5:30 p.m., and it will be streamed live on ESPN+. For more information about this exciting event click HERE.
