CW Sports Appoints Jason Wormser as Senior Vice President

The CW has appointed Jason Wormser as the Senior Vice President of CW Sports, effective immediately. In his new role, Wormser will be responsible for overseeing all production aspects of The CW’s sports portfolio, including live events such as LIV Golf, ACC college football, men’s and women’s basketball, and the upcoming NASCAR Xfinity Series in 2025.

Brad Schwartz, President of Entertainment at The CW Network, expressed excitement about bringing Wormser on full time. “Jason has been an invaluable asset to us since the launch of CW Sports one year ago,” he said. “His passion for sports and his experience and dedication to delivering a compelling broadcast make him a perfect fit for this role.”

Prior to joining The CW Network, Wormser served as the Vice President of Production, Soccer, for Fox Soccer Channel (now Fox), Fox Sports 1 (FS1). Under his leadership, he supervised the behind-the-scenes crews responsible for broadcasting the FIFA Women’s World Cup in 2015 and the FIFA Men’s World Cup in 2018.

“I am thrilled to have joined such an innovative network like The CW,” said Wormser. “In just one year—signing deals first with LIV Golf then adding ACC football and basketball, Inside the NFL and NASCAR Xfinity Series—we have set a solid foundation as we continue to help grow The CW’s public awareness and provide value to our affiliates nationwide.”
