Barcelona forward Marc Guiu scored a vital goal at the Under-17 World Cup, helping Spain advance to the quarter-finals of the competition. In their final group fixture, Spain defeated Japan 2-1, with Guiu’s teammate Quim Junyent also finding the back of the net in the match.

Spain’s La Rojita opened scoring after just eight minutes when Quim Junyent equalized five minutes before halftime. In the second half, Junyent provided an assist to Guiu who scored the winning goal that secured Spain’s spot in the quarter-finals. For his outstanding performance, Junyent was awarded man of the match honors.

Spain will now face either Germany or USA in their next game for a chance to advance to the semi-finals. If they play against Germany, it will be interesting to see how well Guiu and his Barcelona teammates fare against Noah Darvich, who has been performing exceptionally well for his national side throughout the tournament.
