Stew-pendous Science: McGill’s Soup-er Serving of Research | Channels

At McGill University, undergraduate students recently attended the 37th edition of Soup & Science, where they were able to immerse themselves in a unique blend of knowledge and nourishment. This week-long event, held once a semester, showcases research happening on campus and provides students with an intimate setting to explore various disciplines.

This semester’s topics covered a broad spectrum of research, from quantum meta-photonics to optogenetic stimulation in roundworms. The presentations featured three to four faculty speakers and one or two student speakers each, who discussed their projects in short four to five-minute segments. Students were able to gain valuable insights into the research opportunities available at McGill, including undergraduate research awards.
