Nelson and Westhead Selected as Inductees for the Philadelphia Sports Hall of Fame Class of 2024

On Tuesday, the Philadelphia Sports Hall of Fame announced its Class of 2024, and among the inductees were former Saint Joseph’s standouts Jameer Nelson and Paul Westhead. The announcement was made by organization officials, who praised the contributions these athletes have made to the world of sports.

Joining Nelson and Westhead in this prestigious list are other notable figures such as George Benton, Rod Brind’Amour, Angelo Cataldi, Joan (Moore) Gnat, Brendan Hansen, Ryan Howard, Lurline Jones, Cheryl Reeve, Eddie Stanky, Andy Talley, A. W. Tillinghast, Chase Utley, and Alice Putnam Willetts.

The induction ceremony for the 2024 Philadelphia Sports Hall of Fame will take place on Thursday, November 7 at Live! Casino & Hotel Event Center in South Philadelphia.
