In a note released on Monday, Donald Trump’s physician stated that the former president is in “excellent health” and will continue to enjoy a healthy, active lifestyle for many years. The physical and mental health of both Trump and Democratic President Joe Biden has become a major issue in the 2024 presidential race due to Biden’s 81st birthday and Trump’s lead in the Republican nominating contest.
The note, which Trump posted on his Truth Social account, was released on the same day as Biden’s birthday. According to the note, Trump has reduced his weight through an improved diet and daily physical activity while maintaining a rigorous schedule. It was signed by Bruce Aronwald, an osteopath from New Jersey, but did not provide additional details about Trump’s health.
His physical exams were reported to be well within the normal range, and his cognitive exams were described as exceptional. This note was released by a different doctor than the one who produced a similar note in 2016. In the 2016 case, Trump’s physician, Harold Bornstein, indicated that Trump had dictated its contents.
In the note from 2016, Trump indicated that he weighed 215 pounds (98 kg) and was 6 feet 3 inches (1.9 meters) tall. This information was released in relation to a wide-ranging criminal case stemming from Trump’s attempts to overturn his 2020 election defeat in Georgia, where he has pleaded not guilty in several criminal cases.
