Grande Jr. Pizza Express shutting down its doors after successful six-year run

Mike Darnay, a renowned digital producer and photojournalist at KDKA-TV/CBS News Pittsburgh, has announced the closure of Grande Jr. Pizza Express after six years in business. The shop, located along Racetrack Road near the Meadows Casino, has expressed its gratitude to its customers for supporting them throughout their time in operation.

Grande Jr. Pizza Express was recently ranked number one in the 2024 Best Pizza in Pittsburgh contest hosted by 100.7 Star and judged by a panel of local experts. During the competition, they served a Detroit-style pizza that impressed the judges.

As they prepare to close their doors on Saturday, Grande Jr. Pizza Express will keep pizza stocked for as long as possible ahead of their final day of business. However, as they run out of items this week, those items will be removed from the menu.
