Penn State Lady Lions senior guard Makenna Marisa was selected to the Big Ten Weekly Honor Roll for her impressive performance in the game against Kansas. In that matchup, Marisa scored 34 points, matching her career high and achieving her eighth 30-plus-point performance. This puts her at ninth all-time in scoring at Penn State with 1,864 total points and ties her for second in most performances of that nature with eight such games.

In addition to her standout performance against Kansas, Marisa also had a strong game against St. John’s, scoring 15 points and racking up five assists for a total of 49 points, 12 assists, seven rebounds, two steals and one block across the two games.

Meanwhile, Saint Francis freshman Bobby Rosenberger III was named Northeast Conference Rookie of the Week for his outstanding play against Penn State. Rosenberger scored a career-high 19 points and grabbed eight rebounds in that game, shooting an impressive 7-for-10 from the floor, 3-for-5 from beyond the arc and 2-for-2 from the free throw line. He has now become the 11th player under coach Rob Krimmel to be recognized as the NEC Rookie of the Week and the 26th time overall in Krimmel’s 12 seasons as head coach.
