Oma Säästöpankki’s Successful Journey Continues: Bank’s Valuation Remains Affordable

Oma Sp, the most profitable bank in Finland, has experienced tremendous growth and profitability over the past year. Despite this, its valuation does not reflect its success, as it is one of the cheapest shares on the Helsinki Stock Exchange. In the last quarter, Oma Sp made an excellent result but fell short of analyst expectations. Its share price has fallen by more than 8% since the beginning of the year. However, based on its forecasts for the current year, its p/e ratio is below 6, making it the cheapest rated domestic bank.

Oma Sp’s growth has been fueled by its focus on retail banking and its ability to offer high-quality customer service. It serves over 200,000 personal and business customers in 45 branches across Finland and through digital channels with a team of around 500 experts. The bank’s lending has grown organically four times faster than the general market in recent years. However, there are concerns about possible expansion into financial management services and a decrease in interest rates in the long term.

Overall, Oma Sp’s success can be attributed to its strong organic growth, business arrangements, and potential expansion into financial management services. However, there are also risks associated with a possible decrease in interest rates and dependence on market funding.
