Elon’s TK Simpkins and Nick Dorn have been named the winners of the CAA Men’s Basketball Weekly Awards for November 20. Sophomore TK Simpkins has been named Player of the Week, while Freshman Nick Dorn has been named Rookie of the Week.

TK Simpkins helped lead Elon to a 2-1 week at the Rock Hill Classic. In Friday’s win over IUPUI, he scored 19 points, while on Saturday he had 12 points in victory over Holy Cross. On Sunday, he scored 14 points, grabbed seven rebounds and made five assists against Winthrop. During the week, he averaged 15.0 points, 5.0 rebounds and 2.7 assists with a shooting percentage of 44% making 4-of-10 from three. He also made an impressive performance by hitting 17 out of his 21 free-throw attempts in games against IUPUI and Winthrop.

On the other hand, Freshman Nick Dorn averaged 11.7 points and 3.3 rebounds during Elon’s successful week at the Rock Hill Classic tournament opener, where he hit four threes on nine attempts scoring a career-high of 19 points against IUPUI on Friday; followed by another strong performance where he helped Elon win over Holy Cross on Saturday with his contributions to their success. Nick is one of three Elon players averaging double figures this season.
