Zaur Nasirov Assumes Leadership of Stepanakert’s Police Department

In October of last year, Police Major General Sardar Safarov was appointed to Stepanakert patrol. This month, Zaur Nasirov has been appointed as the head of the Stepanakert police department in Azerbaijan. Nasirov is a police colonel who was born in 1980 and has been working in law enforcement for over two decades. He previously held the position of deputy head of the Baku city police department for operational work and since 2021, he has been the head of the Goygol district police department.

As a seasoned officer with years of experience under his belt, Nasirov is well-equipped to lead the Stepanakert police department through its challenges and ensure that it continues to serve the people of Artsakh effectively. The appointment marks a significant milestone in Azerbaijan’s efforts to maintain peace and security in Artsakh following its depopulation.
