Investigation Underway by NBA Regarding Betting Anomalies Involving Toronto Raptors Player Jontay Porter

The NBA is currently conducting an investigation into betting irregularities involving Toronto Raptors player Jontay Porter. According to league spokesperson Tim Frank, the NBA is looking into prop bets related to Porter. Despite this, the Raptors have not commented on the situation and Porter’s representatives have yet to respond to requests for comment.

On January 26th, DraftKings Sportsbook flagged two specific games that involved prop bets on Porter. These games were among the biggest money-makers for NBA player prop betting that day. Similarly, on March 20th, users who bet on Porter’s prop bets were also among the biggest winners of the day in NBA betting. In both cases, Porter left the game early.

Despite usually playing nearly 14 minutes per game, on January 26th, Porter only logged four minutes without attempting a three-pointer due to a reaggravation of an eye injury. On March 20th, he played just three minutes and scored zero points before leaving the game due to illness.

A spokesperson for DraftKings declined to comment on the situation but emphasized the importance of legal and regulated sports betting in identifying and reporting suspicious activity to protect the integrity of the sport.
