The pizza station is the first to benefit from this new initiative, with chef Philip Realbuto incorporating freshly picked basil from the micro-farm into his pizzas.

Realbuto, who draws inspiration from Italian pizzerias and loves using fresh ingredients in his dishes, believes that this direct source of herbs allows him to showcase his culinary skills and create delicious pizzas without worrying about delivery schedules. The partnership between Nazareth University and Babylon is unique and innovative, providing chefs with easy access to fresh ingredients for their creations.

The Babylon micro-farm was installed in January as part of a plan to provide students with year-round access to fresh, locally grown, and sustainable produce.
