Scientists believe that heat generated by radioactive decay within Triton’s interior keeps its mantle made of water in a liquid state, creating conditions conducive to life existing on this moon.

Enceladus, a moon of Saturn, has also sparked interest among scientists due to its potential for containing an underground ocean of water and ejecting plumes of saltwater and organic molecules into space through its ice shell. These discoveries suggest that Enceladus could potentially harbor some form of extraterrestrial life form or at least support conditions necessary for it to exist.
