Delicious Mocktail Recipes for Valentine’s Day from Tulsa Health Department

Looking to impress your loved ones this Valentine’s Day? The Tulsa Health Department’s substance abuse prevention program and the StopDUI Task Force have got you covered with a Facebook Live mocktail tutorial on Friday, February 9. THD Prevention Specialist Kandice Lawson and Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Eric Kirby will share their favorite recipes for festive mocktails to enjoy on this special day.

If you prefer non-alcoholic options, try the Circus of Love mocktail. All you need are four ingredients: a large carbonated beverage, marshmallow fluff, cotton candy, and sprinkles. Roll the rim of the glass in marshmallow fluff, dip it in sprinkles, pour the carbonated beverage into the glass until it’s about three-quarters full, add some cotton candy to the drink and stir.

If you want something more complex and funky, try Stop in the Name of Love cocktail. You will need sparkling hibiscus red grape juice, lemon-lime soda, orange juice, an orange wheel, seven to ten Valentine’s Candy Hearts, and crushed ice. In a glass with ice add sparkling hibiscus red grape juice, lemon-lime soda and orange juice. Shake or stir the mixture depending on whether you are using a cocktail shaker or not. Strain the drink into a chilled glass full of crushed ice for those who use a cocktail shaker and garnish with an orange wheel before serving.

For those who love fruit punch more than anything else, try Kandi-Coated Punch recipe that includes Sprite with strawberries and raspberries added to it as well as Dole 100% Pineapple Juice in a can with one pack of strawberries and raspberries added respectively. Mix all ingredients together and serve immediately!
