Police report man fleeing scene following attempted robbery at Dunham’s Sports

Authorities in Benton Township are on the hunt for a suspect involved in an attempted robbery at Dunham’s Sports. The incident took place on Sunday morning around 10 a.m., according to WSJM Radio. The suspect broke into the store, wearing a mask and smashed the glass of a gun case in an attempt to steal handguns. However, when store workers noticed what was happening, the suspect fled without taking any firearms.

This is not the first time that Dunham’s Sports has been targeted by thieves. Back in December, two individuals were charged with kidnapping the store manager and stealing two large coolers filled with guns. This recent incident has caused concerns about the safety and security of the store, prompting authorities to urge anyone with information to contact the Berrien County Sheriff’s Office at (269)-983-7141. It is crucial for members of the community to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to help prevent future criminal incidents from occurring.
