Oops: Houthis Attacked a Ship in the Red Sea, Only to Discover it was Headed to Iran

A ship owned by a Greek company and flying the flag of the Marshall Islands has reached Iran, a key ally of the Houthis. The vessel, which was carrying corn and originated from Brazil, arrived in Bandar Khomeini, one of the largest ports in the Islamic Republic.

According to reports, two missiles were launched at the ship by the Houthis, but it did not receive a direct hit and sustained only minor damage. There were no casualties. The owner of the ship is Star Bulk Carriers, a Greek company. This incident marks the first time that the Houthis have attacked a ship heading for Iran since they began targeting international shipping in the Red Sea several days ago.
