Mark Ruffalo, who has portrayed Bruce Banner/The Hulk in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) for many years, has confirmed that he will be returning to the franchise in the upcoming film Captain America: Brave New World. During an interview at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival, Ruffalo did not reveal much about his role in the movie but simply stated that “it’s going to be great.”
While details on Captain America: Brave New World are still somewhat scarce, it has been confirmed that Anthony Mackie will reprise his role as Sam Wilson, aka Captain America. Additionally, Harrison Ford will take over the role of Thaddeus Ross following William Hurt’s passing in 2022. This has led to speculation about the introduction of the Red Hulk character in the film.
Ruffalo took a break from the MCU in recent years and appeared in non-superhero films such as Avengers: Endgame in 2019. However, he also continued to be involved with Marvel projects like She-Hulk and What If…? The release date for Captain America: Brave New World is set for February 14th, 2025. Marvel is expected to release its first trailer for Deadpool and Wolverine shortly after this film hits cinemas.
