In September, XFS Global LLC was founded as a service-disabled veteran-owned business that specializes in fabric shelters. The company recently opened in Rockbridge County and has leased 34,000 square feet in an industrial building on Douglas Way. Plans are underway to create employment opportunities in the community.

Five new employees have been hired by Jacob Furbee, president and CEO of XFS Global LLC. With more job openings on the horizon, the business is poised for growth. XFS produces tents designed for military and commercial applications, available in various sizes capable of housing a plane or a command post. The shelters come equipped with HVAC systems, insulation, floors, and lights, with installation services available upon request.

Currently working on fulfilling orders for a Texas customer and a defense subcontractor, Furbee is bringing his military experience to his role at XFS. Paul Wilcox, also a Marine Corps veteran, serves as vice president of the company. A ribbon-cutting ceremony is planned for December 6th to celebrate XFS’s grand opening following its formation in September and the asset purchase in October.
