Liberty Hill ISD to Introduce New Science and Technology Materials for 2024-25 Academic Year

Liberty Hill ISD is set to make changes to its science and technology classes for the upcoming school year, as it recently approved new instructional materials for various courses. The process included input from teachers and the community, with a thorough review of new materials adopted by the State Board of Education for the 2024-25 school year.

The district will implement new materials in classes ranging from kindergarten science to high school physics and chemistry. The selected courses that will receive new instructional materials include kindergarten-fifth grade science, sixth-eighth grade science, biology, chemistry, environmental systems, and more. To fund these materials, Liberty Hill ISD will utilize $352,152 from its Instructional Materials and Technology Allotment.

Community members had the opportunity to provide feedback on the new materials for kindergarten-12th grade science through events held in late January and an online forum. Nearly 30 elementary and middle school teachers also provided feedback on the new materials for K-8 science classes. The goal was to ensure that the instructional materials selected are suitable and effective for students and teachers in Liberty Hill ISD.

Visit the district’s website to learn more about the instructional materials adoption process and the materials that were considered. These changes aim to enhance the learning experience for students in science and technology classes throughout Liberty Hill ISD.

In conclusion, Liberty Hill ISD is committed to providing its students with top-notch education by implementing innovative teaching methods. By adopting new instructional materials in various courses ranging from kindergarten science to high school physics and chemistry, Liberty Hill ISD aims to improve its curriculum offerings while ensuring they align with state standards. The district’s dedication to engaging with teachers and community members ensures that these changes benefit everyone involved.
