The John Wood Community College Ag Science Complex has recently received a $60,000 donation from Farm Credit Illinois for the purchase of new bleachers. This addition will greatly benefit the facility by providing ample seating for attendees and reducing the stress associated with setting up for livestock shows. The bleachers can accommodate up to 320 people, making it easier for the community to gather and support local agriculture.
Farm Credit Illinois President and CEO Aaron Johnson expressed his pride in being able to contribute to the completion of the facility, stating that their donation was a way to help farm families succeed. This contribution aligns with their goal of supporting farm families in southern counties of Illinois.
JWCC President Bryan Renfro expressed his gratitude towards the community for their support, highlighting the care and concern shown by those in the area. He stated that this funding will have a significant impact on the Ag Science Complex and its ability to host successful livestock shows and events.
