The 28-year-old Myles Jack has been signed to the practice squad by Pittsburgh. Jack, who previously played for Jacksonville and then spent the 2022 season with the Steelers, led Pittsburgh with 104 tackles last season but was slowed by injuries and then released in March. After signing with Philadelphia in August, he retired two weeks later.

Pittsburgh is now in need of inside linebacker help following season-ending injuries to Cole Holcomb and Kwon Alexander in recent weeks. In a recent game, Elandon Roberts played every defensive snap while Mykal Walker took the majority of snaps at the other inside linebacker spot.

Jack’s addition to the practice squad could provide some much-needed depth at inside linebacker for Pittsburgh (6-4). He will have the opportunity to work on his skills and potentially earn a spot on the active roster in the future.
