As part of its contract with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Idemia NSS, a national security services subsidiary, recently conducted a demonstration of its ID2Access biometric access control technology at Redstone Arsenal in Alabama. The demo showcased the technology’s ability to verify the identity of visitors, personnel and residents without the need to go through the Visitor Control Center.

One of the key features demonstrated was how Idemia’s innovation uses facial recognition to detect multiple occupants in a vehicle passing through the site’s gates. This feature not only enhances security but also reduces traffic and delays on the base.

Patrick Clancey, CEO of Idemia NSS, expressed his enthusiasm for showcasing the value that ID2Access brings to Redstone Arsenal. He stated that the company is committed to providing a solution that secures access and movement while reducing congestion and wait times for military personnel and their families on base.
