Johnny Nguyen, a Vietnam War refugee, has built a successful business and life for himself in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. After leaving his homeland due to the hardships caused by war and supply chain issues, Nguyen and his brother lived in an immigrant camp in Malaysia before moving to the US. Once here, he worked various jobs while continuing his education until he started a successful printing business. This allowed him to enter the construction industry and eventually led to the creation of DVR Cabinetry in Northeast Philadelphia.
Today, DVR Cabinetry is thriving with around 25 employees and plans to hire another 50 as their business continues to grow. Nguyen attributes his success to the American Dream and hopes to inspire others by emphasizing the opportunities available in this country.
