Taylor Heise represents Team USA at the IIHF Women’s World Championship

Taylor Heise has always been passionate about hockey, and she is grateful for the opportunity to be on the ice with those who have made significant contributions to the sport. As a forward for the U.S. Women’s National Team and a 24-year-old player, Heise recognizes the sacrifices made both on and off the ice to reach her level of play. She acknowledges the growth of women’s sports and the impact of those who have contributed to its development.

Last year, Heise was selected as the first overall pick in the inaugural PWHL Draft, and this upcoming World Championship will be her sixth, with her third time representing her country on an international stage. On Wednesday night, she will face Switzerland in the preliminary round, showcasing her talents to a global audience.

Despite coming from a basketball family, Heise chose hockey as her path early on and never looked back. Her dedication and hard work paid off when she excelled at the University of Minnesota before being drafted into the PWHL. Now, as she prepares for another World Championship, she feels honored to be part of such a prestigious program.
