Bango Honors Champions of Racine Elementary School’s Fresh Air Science Fair

A group of fifth graders from Julian Thomas Elementary School in Racine were recognized for their efforts in the nearly two-month-long Fresh Air Science Fair. The fair began on February 1st, and saw students working together to create projects that brought concepts of clean air pollution to life. Entries were evaluated based on the quality of research and data analysis, as well as the creativity of their presentations.

The awards ceremony took place on March 27th, where the winners were announced and prizes were distributed. Special guests, including Bango, the Milwaukee Bucks mascot, and the Rim Rockers trampoline dunking team, attended the event to congratulate the young scientists. The first-place team members received three tickets to attend the April 10th game between the Milwaukee Bucks and Orlando Magic, along with transportation to and from the game and vouchers for concessions at Fiserv Forum during the game. Second and third place teams received Bucks merchandise as prizes.

This event was made possible through a collaboration between Modine, the Milwaukee Bucks, Racine Unified School District, and United Way of Racine County. Congratulations to all participants of the Fresh Air Science Fair at Julian Thomas Elementary School in Racine!
