North Richland Hills (CBSNewsTexas.com) – When it comes to decorating for Christmas, why not go all out and celebrate the biggest gift of the year? For Jesse Gonzales and his family, that means turning their home on Wisdom Way into a Texas Rangers House.
Gonzales’ driveway is decked out with 10,000 lights, a giant LED screen showing iconic moments from the 2023 World Series, and even jerseys on skeletons – an homage to the Rangers past, present and future. The entire show is choreographed to Post Malone’s song “Congratulations.”
The idea for the Texas Rangers House came about after Gonzales’ wife Angela proposed it as soon as the team won the World Series. It was a fitting tribute for a couple who met at their first date at a Rangers game and got engaged at another one.
“It’s been phenomenal,” said Gonzales of the reaction he has received from passing by neighbors and big Ranger fans. “We’ve had people come by every single day.”
Gonzales says he wants his family to experience the joy of reliving that momentous day during their holiday season, and hopes more people will stop by to enjoy it before they put up their real Christmas decorations on December 1st.
