The Mayo Clinic and Blanchard Valley Health System (BVHS) are joining forces to present a “Live & Learn” educational presentation on Thursday, November 30, 2023. This event will focus on the science behind preventing and treating breast cancer.
The presenters for this session include Dr. Bill Kose, vice president of special projects at BVHS; Dr. Derek Thomas, a physician with The Armes Family Cancer Care Center; and Dr. Sandhya Pruthi, a physician with Mayo Clinic. These experts will discuss the latest research and advancements in breast cancer prevention and treatment.
As part of the Mayo Clinic Care Network, BVHS is the first Ohio-based healthcare provider to receive this designation. This collaboration allows BVHS physicians to work closely with Mayo Clinic specialists to provide their patients with the most advanced medical knowledge and treatment options available in Northwest Ohio.
By partnering with Mayo Clinic, BVHS doctors have access to the latest research, diagnostic tools, and treatment recommendations. This enables them to develop personalized treatment plans for their patients, including those with cancer. BVHS physicians also have the opportunity to consult with Mayo Clinic experts and submit cases for evaluation.
The presentation will take place via Zoom from noon until 1 p.m., and those interested can view it by visiting bvhs.info/LiveandLearn/. Questions can be submitted in advance by emailing [email protected], and further assistance can be obtained by calling 419-423-5551
