Leake hired by Fortune to report on health and wellness

Lindsey Leake, a senior editor on the alumni editorial board of The Science Writer, has recently joined Fortune magazine’s team as a health and wellness reporter. With her extensive experience in science writing and journalism, she is well-equipped to cover this important topic.

Prior to her work with Fortune, Leake was a science writer for USA Today newspapers in Florida. She has also served as an associate editor at Bloomberg News, where she covered finance and business news. In addition to her work with Fortune and The Science Writer, Leake is a member of several professional organizations, including the Association of Health Care Journalists, National Association of Black Journalists, National Association of Science Writers, Society of Professional Journalists and Investigative Reporters & Editors.

Leake holds a Master’s in science writing from Johns Hopkins University and an M.A. in journalism and digital storytelling from American University. She also received a B.A. in Italian with journalism from Princeton University and a Certificate in Translation and Intercultural Communication. Her background in multiple languages makes her uniquely qualified to cover global health issues.
