Qatar is set to face India in a FIFA World Cup 2026 Qualifier match today, November 21 at the Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneshwar. The Indian team, known as “The Blue Tigers,” will be playing their second match in the group stage following their win against Kuwait on November 16 at Jaber Al-Ahmad International Stadium in Kuwait City.

India is one of the strongest teams in Asia and has dominated against Afghanistan with an 8-1 win at home. However, Qatar is the clear favorite to win this match. Despite their strong reputation, India has the potential to pull off a surprise victory with the support of their home crowd. Winning against Qatar would significantly increase India’s chances of qualifying for the tournament.

In recent years, India has enjoyed mixed results and remained unbeaten at home. During their game against Kuwait, a goal from Mohun Bagan’s forward Manvir Singh was enough to give India three crucial points in the game. In addition, they famously held Qatar to a 0-0 draw in the FIFA World Cup Qualifiers in 2019 and are looking forward to another competitive game today.
