Plenković Blasts Violator of Constitution for Not Resigning

In a statement to the media, Prime Minister Andrej Plenković revealed that at a session of the HDZ presidency, they discussed the ongoing election campaign and analyzed its progress. Plenković mentioned that they had reached GDP growth levels similar to Hungary, which joined the EU exactly 9 years ago. He expressed confidence in Croatia’s goal to join the OECD in two years and emphasized the importance of democratic principles and fair play in politics.

Plenković urged voters to choose between continuing to restore trust in the current leadership or taking a risk with other candidates. He dismissed criticisms regarding the number of women on the lists and addressed accusations related to the Constitution, stating that the SEC and the Constitutional Court should deal with violators. The campaign strategy was outlined to include a range of activities from meetings to social media engagement.

When asked about his response to interviews and criticism from political competitors, Plenković remained firm in his stance, asserting that their party had led Croatia to growth and progress in all areas. He dismissed Milanović’s actions and statements as insignificant, projecting confidence in the upcoming elections. The Prime Minister expressed indifference towards Milanovć’s tactics and pointed out that presidential elections were approaching, hinting at a changing political landscape.

In conclusion, Plenković highlighted the importance of transparency and legal practices during election campaigns while emphasizing trust in Croatian citizens’ choices for their country’s progress.
