‘Launch Christiansburg Plan to Boost Local Small Businesses’

The Christiansburg, Virginia town has recently introduced a program to support small businesses in the area. Astleigh Hill, owner of Chandlerie in downtown Christiansburg, is excited about the initiative and believes it will be beneficial to anyone starting a business in the town.

According to Hill, small businesses are vital to the community and downtown is its heartbeat. The 10-week program allows participants to pitch their business ideas for a chance to receive up to $5,000 in grants. Amanda Hebert, small business solutions manager for the Town of Christiansburg, explains how the grant amount could positively affect individuals in the area.

To participate in the program, individuals must be Christiansburg residents with a business idea they are willing to share and vet out in a safe environment. Hill appreciates the support for small businesses in the town and sees it as a promising sign for both entrepreneurs and residents of Christiansburg. Participants must pay a $200 deposit that is refunded once they complete the program and make their business pitch.

Overall, this launch program presents an excellent opportunity for aspiring entrepreneurs in Christiansburg to receive support and funding for their business concepts. More information on the program can be found on the town’s website.
