Armenian Defense Minister Suren Papikyan, the Head of the Foreign Political Department of Armenia, Ararat Mirzoyan, and Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan will not attend the meeting of the Council of Defense Ministers of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) tomorrow in Minsk.

Defense Ministry spokesman Aram Torosyan confirmed this in response to “Azatut’s” question. It was revealed earlier that Ararat Mirzoyan would not attend the session of Foreign Ministers on the eve of the CSTO Summit as well. Additionally, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan informed Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko about a week ago that he would not participate in the CSTO Minsk Summit.

The absence of these key Armenian officials from the upcoming CSTO meetings has raised questions about their commitment to the organization. It is unclear whether their absence is due to personal reasons or political tensions with other member states of the CSTO.
