Anna Paquin Walks Red Carpet with Cane, Opens Up About Health Challenges

Stephen Moyer, who is also her husband, directed the film that Anna Paquin recently attended. The red carpet premiere was held for “A Bit of Light,” a film in which she plays a struggling mother who moves in with her father after losing custody of her children. Despite having mobility issues caused by an undisclosed health problem she has been dealing with for the past two years, Paquin used a cane at the event.

Paquin revealed to People that it has been a challenging time for her, especially needing the cane to walk and experiencing difficulties with her speech. Sources say that although the specifics of her health issue have not been disclosed, she is expected to make a full recovery. In addition to Paquin, the film stars Ray Winstone, Youssef Kerkour, Pippa Bennett-Warner, and Luca Hogan.

As an independent filmmaker, Paquin expressed her love for telling stories with integrity and truth. She credited Moyer as her favorite acting partner and the reason she agreed to star in the film. According to Moyer’s strong directorial skills, he convinced Paquin to take on this role. “A Bit of Light” is set to hit theaters on April 5th through Quiver.
