Top Duke recruiting target receives offer from UNC basketball program

Nate Ament, a power forward from Warrenton, Virginia, has recently received an offer to join the UNC basketball program. This offer is just one of many that Ament has received from top schools such as Duke, Kansas, Illinois, Michigan, Virginia and Virginia Tech. The UNC coaching staff was impressed by Ament’s performance at an AAU event and extended the offer after watching him play.

Standing at 6-foot-9 and weighing 170 pounds, Ament is ranked No. 13 nationally and considered the No. 5 power forward in the 2025 recruiting class. With over 23 offers already in hand, Ament is a highly sought-after recruit. Despite not yet receiving a commitment from any players in the 2025 class, there is still plenty of time for the UNC coaching staff to secure commitments.

As the 14th player to receive an offer in this class, the program is actively building their recruiting class for the future. Ament’s impressive ranking and skill set make him a top target for the Tar Heels as they look to strengthen their team for the coming seasons.
