Netanyahu acknowledges accidental deaths of seven Jos Andrs NGO workers in Israeli bombing

On Tuesday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu admitted that the Israeli Army unintentionally killed seven humanitarian workers from the NGO World Central Kitchen (WCK) in the Gaza Strip. Netanyahu expressed his gratitude to the medical team that operated on his hernia and emphasized the need for an exhaustive investigation into the incident, stating that such events happen in war and pledging to prevent similar occurrences from happening in the future.

The Israeli Army announced that an independent military entity would investigate the attack, leading WCK to suspend its operations in the region. IDF spokesman Daniel Hagari personally extended condolences to chef Jos Andrés, the founder of WCK, for the deaths of the workers, including four foreign nationals.

Jos Andrés called on the Israeli Government to end indiscriminate killing, stop restricting humanitarian aid, and prevent the killing of civilians and aid workers. The WCK team was ambushed while moving through a non-conflict area in Gaza, despite coordinating their movements with the IDF beforehand. The NGO decided to halt operations in the region and rethink its approach to working in Gaza.
