Monarch at Home, a new home health program introduced by Monarch Landing, a continuing care retirement/life plan community in Naperville, IL, is designed to assist independent living residents who need support and want to remain in their apartments. The program offers traditional services through outside agencies and can save residents money by providing 15-minute visits instead of one-hour increments.
The program also includes care companions to help with outings, personal care, domestic chores, and other tasks. According to Associate Executive Director Kelli Cox, Monarch at Home can provide assistance to one spouse so they can remain with their partner in independent living longer. The caregiver companions are carefully matched with residents to ensure a good fit.
Monarch Landing staff members staff the CCRC and are subject to thorough background checks and rigorous guidelines. The CCRC is owned and managed by Harrison, NY-based Senior Care Development and is an equity partner with Life Care Services. Other CCRCs have also expanded their offerings to include home care services.
